Candidate Qualifications

Be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age on the day of election or appointment;
Be a citizen of the United States;
Be a registered and qualified voter of the City;
Reside and have resided continuously for at least twelve (12) months preceding the election within the corporate limits of the City;
No candidate may file for more than one office or position number per election;
No employee of the City shall continue in such position after becoming a candidate for a City elective office.
No candidate shall at any time of filing or while in office, be in arrears in payment of taxes or other liabilities due to the City after the expiration of thirty (30) days following the providing of the notice of any delinquency;
Shall comply with all other City ordinances and/or resolutions that may be applicable;

Not have been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities;

Future Elections
